Dr. Risueño is the director of the Risueño Language and Literacy Lab and an assistant professor of Speech-Language Pathology at Old Dominion University. Dr. Risueño is a certified bilingual speech-language pathologist with clinical experience in first through twelfth grade environments. He completed his clinical training and doctoral work at Arizona State University where he studied with Drs. Shelley Gray and M. Adelaida Restrepo, focusing on language and reading comprehension interventions for dual language learners. His work has been recognized by a number of foundations, including the American Speech-Language Hearing Foundation and Advancing Research Careers for Scientists.
